Level Design, Items & Spells
Current State
The Level now has a decent amount of objects and details. I mixed in some colors like the purple water, bright light rays and colorful items. The controls have now been improved and bugs have been removed. I added UI and items like healing and mana. The player can now use magic to attack his enemies. These spells use use up mana each time they're performed. Currently there is only one spell - a fire ball, but with the code I made I can easily add more types of magic. Some UI elements use sprites which are colored in the RGB channels and use a special shader (2nd image). That way I can apply custom colors to the sprite directly in the unity editor.
Next Steps
Next week I'll probably add some more objects, items and spells and I'll improve the sprites and polish the visuals along the way. Then I'll finally make the Evolid and the bossfights.
After that I'll add the main menu and polish the overall UI. In the weeks after that I'll make the levels, cutscenes, fix bugs, create and create a trailer.
